This course is risk assessment based and follows the TOPSS syllabus in the National Minimum Standards. The course includes the basic structure and function of the spine with back care and postural awareness, legal roles and responsibilities and the principles of risk assessment. The practical includes standing transfers and walking with the use of small handling aids, bed mobility with and without equipment and all hoisting techniques.

These courses can be held ‘in house’ or we can provide a venue if you wish. We will provide all teaching aids, handouts and equipment required. We charge for a full day with a maximum of 15 people if the room allows for so many. In a smaller room we will teach the number that can be comfortable!
